Shaffer’s Run Community Park

Shaffer’s Run Community Park 6485 Vonnie Vale Ct, Hamilton, OH 45011 New Park! Well..not exactly a new park. But a newly renovated park and it is BEAUTIFUL and near perfection. This is a work in progress and during our visit this morning – the swings were not yet installed. It is my understanding that the swings will be installed today (7-9-19). Secondly – currently only the “big kid” structure is renovated and installed. The older structure (green in the pictures […]

A Revisit To Dudley Memorial Park – an Updated Review

Dudley Memorial Park 5700 Yankee Road Liberty Township, OH 45044 A lot has changed at Dudley Memorial Park since we last visited a year ago – so we decided to pay them a visit today to see the changes for ourselves. The biggest change is FENCING! Nearly the entire playground is now fenced with a beautiful wooden fence. Not only is it fenced, but the fence is also adorned with comfortable wooden benches. I was able to plop myself down on one […]

Marvel and Trains, Oh My!

Marvel and Trains, Oh My! I don’t know about anyone else – but End Game has me in Marvel fever right now. I’m looking forward to the launch of Disney+ streaming service and the original Marvel content that will be available. Apparently it will all be connected to the Cinematic universe? Whaaat? An entire series about the Scarlet Witch? Sign me up. Take all my money. While my son is too young for the Marvel movies – he is enthralled […]

Harbin Park

Harbin Park 1300 Hunter Rd, Fairfield, OH 45014 Harbin Park is the heart of Fairfield – a place to retreat for a family picnic, some playground amusement or a peaceful walk. The park is relatively easy to miss. It’s tucked back off of pleasant, through a neighborhood, and up a hill. But it’s certainly not a small park and it is not one that should be overlooked. Play Structure 100% honest. The play structures here at Harbin Park are extremely […]

Ault Park

Ault Park 5090 Observatory Ave Cincinnati, OH 45208   Traveling to the east side of the city is essentially the same as traveling to an entirely different state for me. I’ve never been familiar with the east side. I was born and raised a bit North of city center, lived in Colerain at one point in my life, as well as Westwood and now I’m north in the ‘burbs of Hamilton. But the east side? That’s foreign territory to me. […]

Jump & Jack’s Indoor Playground Review

Jump & Jack’s 7102 Office Park Dr West Chester Township, OH 45069   Pizza, Climbing tubes, inflatables…the only thing missing here is a walk-around Mascot and a ball pit. Jump and Jack’s is one of several indoor play areas in the Cincinnati area and it is one of my favorites. While it does have a few “weaknesses”, I feel that the strengths more than make-up for them. I’ve never experienced a “bad day of play” at Jump and Jack’s and […]

Best Bet for Summer Birthdays

Frosting on the couch, the floor, the cat. Streamers that have been drooping for days finally hit the floor. Balloons last forever – and you’re forced to either pop them (when the kids aren’t looking) or just wait for their eventual slow deflation into a choking a hazard. Sound familiar? Just talkin’ about hosting a kid’s birthday party at home. Don’t get me wrong, I actually love to throw parties in our home. I love how much money can be […]

Lily Pad Play

Lily Pad Play 2008 Madison Rd Cincinnati, OH 45208 Engaging children through purposeful play. Create. Imagine. Play. That is Lily Pad Play’s tagline – and I’d agree – that’s a very fitting tagline. Having grown up on the West side – I’ll be honest – I have no idea what part of town Lily Pad Play is in exactly and I’m sure other West Siders can relate. It’s near Hyde Park and Norwood, down the street from the BonBonerie Bakery […]

Boonshoft: A Dayton Attraction

Boonshoft Museum of Discovery 2600 Deweese Pkwy, Dayton, Ohio 45414 ⭐I have a lot to share about this place ⭐ Some days are just perfect for Day Trips and today felt like one of those kind of days. But with it being so cold outside – we needed an indoor locale to check out. I’ve been thinking about visiting here for quite awhile – but hadn’t pulled the trigger until today. A few things before we get started 1) I took […]
